HOTEL BURNT
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) HOKITIKA, This Day. The Caledonian Hotel, a structure of twelve rooms, was completely destroyed by fire.last evening at 6 o'clock. Nothing was saved. It was insured for £350 in the Atlas Office. The fire broke out in the dining-room, and immediately enveloped the building.
Elsewhere will be found the Railway Department's advertisement in connection with the King's Birthday train arrangements. The Otaki races are well catered ' for. Fast race trains to and from 01/aki ;it convenient times will rim on 2nd and 4Hi June, and special excursion fares are available. Alterations to the suburban time-table are also advertised.
