ARTCRAFT THEATRE.
The feature film at the Artcraft Theatre is "Whispering Wires," starring Anita Stewart. It is based on (ho noted stage success of the same name, which thrilled Broadway for almost a year. The stage play was considered by Press and public as one of the finest ever presented on the American stage. Jlany scenes not possible on the stage havo been incorporated in the screen version. Anita Stewart has the role of Doris Stockbridge, -daughter of a broker, who is assassinated by telephone in a mansion of horrors. The role of the broker's daughter was just to her liking, as Miss Stewart is rated as one of the best financiers in film land. The picture is a real mystery film, dealing with crime in somo oEUts worst aspects, and has a most thrilling climax. Tho supporting items aro excellent.
