A LIVELY WEEK
♦ (Special to "The Evening Post") PALMERSTON N., This Day. If one of the sedate and dignified founders of the Manawatu A. and_ P. Association were to visit—in the spirit —the spacious-halls which are to house. the coming Winter Show, he would get a great surprise. The association's fine new hall, now nearing completion, will be christened in a distinctly modern fashion. On the 'opening night there will be a cabaret evening in the hall, which will be officially opened at the same time. For the following evening a boxing tourney has been arranged; on Thursday a "smoke-oh" will celebrate the return to the Manawatu fold of the National Dairy Association, which i was enticed away to other shows some years ago. On Friday, Highland dancing contests will be held: To finish » hectic week, a jazz evening will be held on Saturday night.
