GROWERS' PROTECTION FUND ' • i (By, Telegraph.—Press Association.) HASTINGS, This Day. The Provincial Conference of Fruitgrowers to-day resolved to support the proposal to create a central .fund for the purpose of protecting the Government guarantee, such fund to be created by a board collecting a maximum levy of 3d per case, and after paying ordinary . expenses, transferring tho balance of each year's levy to such central fund, provision to be mado whereby in the event of the'fund reaching a sufficient sum, the yearly contributions be. refunded, commencing with the first year's contributions, to the. shippers, in proportion to the individual contributions 'made.
