Tha first eight-oared University boat race to be rowed in New Zealand was ••worthy of its epoch making significance. The two crews, representing Auckland and Victoria raced over the three-mile Korokoro course arid were followed by a surprisingly large number of spectators. [Victoria won by three lengths.
