COOLIDGE AND THIRD TERM (United Press Association.—Copyright.) (Received 9th February, 1 p.m.) WASHINGTON, Bth February. A debate was precipitated in the United States Sehate to-day on tho La Follette resolution prohibiting Presidential third terms. There was no unanimity among senators, irrespective of party, as to whether President Coolidgo could be drafted in view of his statements that he was not a candidate. Senator Gillette indicated that he believed President Coolidge had withdrawn, but he also opposed the resolution. Senator Bruce said that President Coolidge "had left the door slightly ajar."
