The Postal authorities have received cable advice from Sydney that the Makura, which left at 6 p.m. on the 26th instant for Wellington, carries 479 bags of mail from Australia, 379 from other places, and 171 parcel receptacles. The Maunganui, which left at 4 p.m. on tho 27th instant for Wellington, carries 69 bags of mail from Australia and 17 parcel receptacles.
