BATH TO LONDON
MIDDLE-AGED FARMER'S RUN (Received 9th January, 2.30 p.m.) LONDON, Bth January. A South African farmer named Newton finished a hundred mile run from Bath to Hyde Park in 14h 22mins lOsec, an amateur record. He only began to run at the age of forty, and since has run 43,000 miles.
