NEW ZEALAND PUBLICITY FILMS.
Last summer the Government Publicity OHice provided the opportunity at its film laboratory for overseas visitors to view some of the wonders of the Dominion. This was made possible by the excellently appointed theatre on Lambton quay, next to the Public Trust Office, where films were shown daily from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. By advertisement appearing in this issue the Publicity Office announces that daily screenings are commencing on Wednesday next, and tho co-operation of the public is asked for in miikinpr known to overseas visitors the opportunity of viewing these films. Complimentary admission tickets are obtainable from the "Publicity Office, the Tourist and Railway Departments, and the leading hotels.
I'lmn puddings have grown out of nn Elizabethan disli known as plum porridge. Tin's was a similar mixture of fruit, etc., boiled without being put in a bnsin or lied in a cloth as is the phira pudding of our day.
