GERMAN REPARATIONS
AMERICAN ATTITUDE DENIAL OF RUMOURS ■ (United Press Association.—Copyright.) WASHINGTON, sth January. The continued publication of stories to the effect that the United States Government is becoming more sympathetic to a programme which would couple a reduction of German reparations with a readjustment downwards of the wartime debts owed to th<? United States finally brought details to-day from the State and Treasury Departments. The United States is not considering participation, as reported, in. an international economic conference at which reparations and war debts would be considered. The United States Government does not anticipate at this time any developments in connection with Gorman reparations revision which would involve the United States in a great international operation of any; kind.
