FURRED SKIN SALE.

The Combined Brokers, New Zealand Loan and' Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., Dalgety and Co., Ltd., and the N.Z. Farmers' Co-op. Distributing Co., Ltd., report as follows on their seventh furred skin sale held at Wellington yesterday. A large catalogue of rabbitskina was submitted to full attendance of buyers. In view of the recent decline in Southern markets, and the fact that skins are now going off in quality, the very excellent prices obtained must be considered more than 'satisfactory. range of prices for well stretched and we I got up skins:'—Riinners and'suckers, 14d; summers, 24d; light racks, SBbid; heavy racks, 36% d; early autumns, 54% d; late autumns, 63% d; incoming winters, 75#d to 80d; late" winters, 80d to 83% d; early winters, 86d to" Sited; ' winter spotted, 49% d; super winter bucks, 114% dto 119 d; super winter does, 117 dto 120 d; first winter bucks, 107 dto Hid; first winter does, 114 dto llod; super winter blacks, 123% d; first winter blacks, 118% d; winter blacks, 93'/4d to HOd; winter fawns, 125 d; second fawns, 91d; hare skins, 50d to 69d. Opossum Skins.—At the opossum skin sale held this morning, a full bench of buyers was in attendance, representing all the. principal fur buying houses of the Dominion. Approximately COOO skins were submitted, some particularly choice lots being offered in the, various catalogues, a line of- super blues' from the Feathertson district bringing the excellent price of 16s 4d each, super greys ruled, as high as 15s 9d-and 13s was paid for super blacks. All good lots,- well,,stretched, and sound, sold at an advance ol 10 to 15 per cent, on last sale's figures.' The very excellent results are viewed with considerable satisfaction by the Combined Brokers, who feel that they can with complete confidence now urge- trappers to forward any consignments for their next sale, which takes place on Thursday, 20th October. The following is the range of prices: Super blues, lor Id to 16s 4d; first blues, 13s to 14s 6d; blues, 9s 4d to 12s; super greys, los 9d; first greys, 12s 4d to 13s; greys, 9s 6d to' 9s lid; super blacks, 12s 7d to 13s; first blacks, 10s to 10s lid; blacks, 6s 6d to 9s lOd; super browns, 9s 4d to 10s sd; first browns, 8s to 9d; browns, .5s to 6s lOd; super reds, 10s 4d to. 11s; first reds, 8s to 9s lid; reds, 5s 6d to Bs. Kittens, rumpers, faulty, and damaged skins were correspondingly lower.
