PETONE TECHNICAL SCHOOL
The monthly ■ meeting of the Petone Technical School Board of Managers was held yesterday. Present: Mr. D. M'Kenzie (chairman), and Mes3rs, W. Parkinson, J. J. Lewthwaite, A. Greening, and W. B. Nicholson.
The director advised that Messrs. Nicholson and Greening were due to retire from the board, and that an election would be held to appoint their successors. These members notified that they were prepared to again offer their services. The Director of Education advised that the Director of Technical Education would consider the question of the establishment of a day technical school, and would meet members of the board at a later date.
The following annual donations were received with thanks: —Wellington Woollen Co., £5; Messrs. Lever Bros. (N.Z.), £5 ss; Petone Borough Council, £30. Owing to low attendance at the electricity class, it was decided to close this class at the end of the present term.
