The "Daily Mail's" Dublin correspondent says that Sir. de Valera strongly appealed for a continuance of the Dail boycott, but failed to impress his followers the majority declaring that the Electoral Bill, requiring the acceptance of the oath prior to. nomination as a candidate, completely.changed the situation, and therefore a chance of policy was essential to save the party from extinction. Mr. ae Valera under strong pressure, finally .agreed to release the deputies from their election pledge against accepting i position involving the taking of the oath of allegiance to a foreign Power.
