CONCILIATION COUNCIL
Tho Conciliation Council was engaged yesterday in hearing the dispute of tho Dominion Biscuit and Confeotionors' Industrial Union of Workers. The Conciliation Commissioner (Mr. P Halley) presided. Assessors for the union were:—Messrs. E. Blake (Auckland), O. Poolo (Auckland), J. Purtcl (Auckland), L. E. Spedding (Dunedin) and W. Herbert (Dunedin), Messrs. w! Hord (Auckland), H. Jones (Auckland), B. Hudson (Dunedin), and B Cuddy (Dunedin) appeared for the employers. Mr. B. L. Hammond acted as agent for tho employers. A number of machinery clauses were agreed to, but tho matters of wages hours, and classification, were referred to the Arbitration Court.
