REFEREES' PROTEST
EXONERATION OF PLAYERS

MASTERTON, Tins Day. I lie \Yairarapa Rugby Referees' Assoeiaiion met to-night to consider what action to take in regard to Mr. H J M'Kenizc's treatment by the AVairarapa and Hawkes Bay Unions in dismissing the charges against Donald and Brownlie. A motion ito disband as a protest against the union's action was defeated, the mover being the only supporter. < It was eventually decided to leave the matter in the hands of the New Zealand Referees' Association, pending the New Zealand Union dealing with %c New Zealand Referees' Association's protest.
