BULL AND DAMP
CHEERLESS WEATHER
Dull, misty, and wet weather has prevailed, and rain has been reported in most parts of tho Dominion. Moderate to strong easterly to south-easterly winds have ruled, and pressure has remained below normal, particularly in tho north. There are indications, however, that the centre of one disturbance has passed through Cook Strait, but another is now threatening from the north-west. It is owing to this thst tho winds have modified to a great extent. A further outlook gives indications for a westerly disturbance to modify oven tho ex-tropical visitor. '' Wo may, however, expect dull, cold, and damp weather,' said the Dominion Meteorologist (Mr. D. C. Bates) to-day. Rain.is predicted generally, with heavy rain in the northern and east coast districts of the North Island and rivers flooded. Snow may be expected on the higher levels. Variable and strong winds are forecasted, easterlies prevailing northward of Now Plymouth and Napier, with south-easterlies elsewhere.
