"FREE OF PLAGUE"
TOWNSVILLE NOT INFECTED
(United Press Association.—Copyright.) (Eeceived 28th July, noon.) BRISBANE, This Day. The Home Secretary, the Hon. J, announced that the Deputy Health Commissioner has reported to him that exhaustive tests carried out by the Department had definitely established that plague was not associate* with the disease discovered in the cats found dead at Townsville. The Com. missioner, he added, had no. hesitation m declaring Townsville free of plague.
