CHANGE OP DATES SUGGESTED

_ DUNEDIN, 27th July.' Mr. H. L. James, who recently retired trora the secretaryship of the Dunedin Jockey Club and Forbury- Park Trotting blub, was met after the committee meeting of the Forbury Park Club this evening and presented with a handsome gold watch, suitably inscribed, as a personal token of esteem from the stewards. It was decided at the meeting that the opinion of Otago, Canterbury, and Southland owners be asked as to the advisability of holding the spring meeting on 27th and 29th October, instead of on the original date, so as not to clash with Otahuhu.
