PALMERSTON N., This Day. The Manawatu Hunt Club's Point-to-point Steeples to-day resulted:— Manawatu Heavyweight Steeplechase.— 6. Shannon's Terehu, 1; W. Bailey's Bismoore, 3; H. Briant's Moriarty, 3. Wen by three lengths. Kiwitea Lightweight.—W. Wilson's Mode, 1; J. Waller's Monowai, 2; W. Wareham's Lady Dohvill, 3. Won by half a length. Manawatu Open Steeplechase.— G. W. New's jVtaidoN, 1; L. H. Collinson's Birkenose, 2; W. Andrews's Tarero, 3. Won by five- lengths. Roman fell and broke his neck in the last race.
