SHAKESPEARE SEASON.
Mr. Allan Wilkie's Shakespearian Company concluded its Wellington season at the Grand Opera House last night with "Twelfth Night." Tho audience filled tho house, and was remarkably enthusiastic. The play itself was an excellent production, and a fitting conclusion to a most successful season. Mr. Wilkio made the most of Malvollo, the strutting vainglorious steward, and the parts of Sir Toby Belch (Mr. John Cairns) and Sir Andrew Agnecheck (Mr. Arthur Keanc) were presented with full appreciation of 'the comedy. Miss Hunter-Watts was fully successful in the role of Viola. Outstanding performances wore given by Miss Lorna Forbes (Otivia) and Miss Dulcio Cherry (Maria). The audience was grateful to them, especially for their clear enunciation, a virtue not so strongly marked with all other members of the company. Mr. Dennis Barry as the jester was excellent, both in acting and in singing. Other parts capably taken were Orsluo (Mr. John Cameron) Sebastian (Mr. Herbert Sheldrick), Antonio (Mr. Milton Sands), and Fabian (Jlr. GlenListon).
At the conclusion the audience marked its thorough appreciation with prolonged applause. Responding to the ovation, Mr. Wilkie expressed his gratitude to those present, and to the public of Wellington, for tho excellent support accorded the company. He appreciated especially the large attendances of school children.
