HUTT VALLEY GUN CLUB
■The annual meeting of the Hutt Valley Gun Club was held at Scott's Rooms on Wednesday evening, Mr. J. Scholes presiding. There was a large attendance at the meeting, it being the first tune for three years that it had not to be postponed owing to so few members being present. The chairman, in making his remarks, stated that the club was in a very sound financial position, and the membership had shown a remarkable increase.
Mr. Brnssel, who for many years has been secretary, resigned, and in recognition of liia valuable services he was made a life member of the club.
Trophies for the ensuing year were donated by Messrs. S. Scott, Witcombe, Caldwell, W. Donovan, Jamieson.
Mr. Pearson, who represented the club at the annual meeting of the New Zealand Gun Club, tendered a report on the discussion.
The following officers were elected:— Patron, Mr. H. M. Hay ward; president and treasurer, Mr. J. Seholes; vice-presi-dents, Messrs. \V. Donovan, A. Scott, C. Moore; committee, Messrs. H. Smith, A. Denison, J. M. Pearson, J. Cave, S. Edwards, Jamieson, Dr. Cohen; hon. secretary, Mr. C. Pearse; handicapper and referee, Mr. Perry.
