LODGE MEETINGS
The weekly meeting of Pioneer Lodge No. 11, 1.0. G.T., was held last week, C.T. Sir. Devereux presiding. Bro. Trcvelyau, S.J.W., reported the opening of new Temple Trinity, No. 10, and conveyed greetings. A motion of sympathy to Sis Millar was carried by silent vote. The Rev. A. A. Armstrong was present, and welcomed, and later gave an illustrated lecturette. A vote of thanks to Bro Cuthbert, who was in charge of the programme, was carried with acclamation. St. Thomas's Temple No. 4, held its weekly meeting last week, Bro. Muun presiding over a large attendance. Five candidates were initiated. Bro. Hirst, DOT and Bro. Trevethick, G.S.J.W., addressed the members. The evening concluded with harmony.
Trinity Juvenile Temple No. 10, held its weekly meeting, at which C.T. Bro. Ross presided, assisted by Bro. Trevethick, Supt. Five candidates were initiated, Bro. Workman was elected and in stalled as Fin. See., in place of Sis Holmes, resigned. The evening concluded with harmony. Star of Wellington No. 12, 1.0. G.T., held an open night at its last meeting' at which the Kainbow Entertainers rendered a programme. Bro. Price was cole, bratmg his twenty-fifth anniversary of membership, and Sister Price her birthday. During the interval Bro. Price announced the probable re-opening of a lodge in Port Chalmers, Dunedin. Sis Price was presented with a posy and a birthday token by the. Bisters. The Rainbow entertainers gave a very up-to-date programme. Supper was served, and votes of thanks were passed to all who had assisted and made t!he evening a pleasant one.
