SHIPPING FOE JUNE

Though the tonnage of vessels arriving at Wellington was greater last month than it was in June of last year, the tonnage of departing shipping was less by over 33 1-3 per cent., the figures being 80,258 tons and 123,641 tons " respectively. .General cargo imports were also less, and there was a very large decrease in the amount of timber imported. In June, 1926, the figures were 3,017,219 compared with 1,639,SSI last month, a decrease of nearly onehalf. So far as the exports were concerned, however, there was an increase of 06,000 superficial feet, the amount on June, 1926, being 107,401 feet.
