CABINET PROCEEDINGS
LONDON, 25th July. Contrary to expectations, there was no full Cabinet meeting to-day for discussion of the Geneva negotiations, but the subject will be considered separately by a Cabinet committee, a section of the Imperial Defence Committee, and the full Cabinet to-morrow, when Mr. Bridgeman and Viscount Cecil will be given final instructions tor dealing with the American objections to the Anglo-Japanese compromise, which is now the basis of discussion. The "Daily- Telegraph" says our Ambassador at Washington has been instructed to protest vigorously against tho unchecked «nti-British propaganda and misrepresentation of British statements which have characterised a considerable section of tho American Press since the Geneva Conference opened.
