TRENTHAM NOTES

It was intended to give trainers at Trentham with horses engaged at Riccartou an opportunity this morning of galloping their charges fast, but very heavy rain overnight quite disposed of the idea. It was very wet and cheerless this morning and no fast work was possible. Practically all the horses were restricted to road work or trotting and cantering in the centre.

Tresham and Prince Paladin, were two exceptions. They were given a solid round on the sand, finishing fast down the straight. It is probable that the majority of tho Trenthain horses engaged at Eiccarton will go South early next week.
