Thursday, the 7th •July, 1927, the following resolution was passed:— The Wellington City Council, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Municipal Corporations Act 3920 «and all other "powers enabling it in that behalf doth hereby resolve by way of Special Order to accept a surrender of Memorandum of Lease Registered Number 10674 made between the Mayor Councillors and Citizens of the City of Wellington of the one part and Levin and Company Limited of the other part of Lot I D.P. 1130, part of Lots 3 and 4 Block 1 Thorndon Reclamation, being the whole of the land comprised in Certificate of Title "Volume 112 folio 167 and to grant to the surrenderor the said Levin and Company Limited a new lease for the term of one calendar month subject to the following provisions:— 1. The new Lease shall contain PROVISIONS for renewal for successive periods of twenty-one years in perpetuity at a ground rental to be fixed by valuation 2. The rental for the term of the new lease and for the first renewal shall be ;£712 10s per annum. 3. The new Lease shall contain all usual "covenants contained in new leases granted by the Corporation. 4.
