CYCLING STANDARDS.
The following standards for cycle events were adopted by the council of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association last evening, the times for a grass track being given first, then, those for a banked course —440 yards, 28sec, 25sec; two miles, 4min 40see, 4mm 30sec; five miles, 12min 30sec, llinin 30sec.
The performance of T. Oakly (Masterton), of 4min 39 3-ssee for two miles, registered on 23rd April last at the Park Oval, Masterton, was passed as the best on record for New Zealand.
