GROCERY LINES.
There is no change to report for the week in the Penang tapioca market. The sensational rise in the price of peppers of the past few weeks has been arrested. A cablegram received in Wellington to-day reports- a drop of approximately 3d per pound.. Singapore packers of pineapples announced a drop in price of 4d per dozen for July-August direct shipment to New Zealand. Sweet Sicily almonds, for shipment September-October, have advanced £i per ton during this week. Java robusta coffee, which showed a decline in price of about £10 per ton on last year's quotations, shows no change, but the course of prices for this article will greatly depend upon reports of South American crops.
