WHANGAREL. Tnis Day. A very severe south-easterly "gale swept Whangarei during the week-end. It* was accompanied by • the heaviest rainfall registered during any previous twenty-four hours this year. At Whangarei 2.17 inches were registered, and 3.1. at Euatangata. .
