SENIOR A DIVISION. ■ t i Diamonds 4 Seatoun 2 Association football matches were played in bitterly cold weather on Saturday, when the Chatham Cup competition was advanced another' step. One of the surprises of the season was the defeat of Hospital by Petone. , The latter team played great football,. and decisively defeated Hospital by 6 goals. V.M.C.A. scored another big win, this time .defeating South' Wellington by 8 goata Institute and Thistle met on the Basin Reserve^ and, in spite of the difficult conditions under which they played, a good game resulted. Institute established an early lead, and played to win comfortably by two goals. The Marist-Johnsonville game at Kelburn Park was abandoned, when Marist were leading 1-0.
