KARORI A BEATEN.

Playing their best game to date, although faced with conditions which were not conducive:; tol good hockey, Training College appeared to have little difficulty in defeating, the hitherto unbeaten Karoii A by 5 goals to 1. The Collegians established their superiority soon after the-commence-ment of play, and by half-time were three goals up to their opponents' one. The Karori men appeared to lose interest in the result in the second spell, whereas the Collegians kept solidly on the ball, and liad play mainly in their favour. Their passing was remarkable on the wet ground and their stick-work, especially in the circle, brought them a-well-deserved win. Jacobsen regained'form, and was the mainstay of the team, while the goal keeper saved well on several occasions. Whitwell was a prominent Karori forward who might, with better luck,.have scored several goals. Scorers for Training College were Jacobsen (2), Frazer (2), and Irwin, and for Karori A Itobb. Messrs. C. Whyte and Smith were the referees. ■
