FATALITX AT MANQAHAO

PALMEBSTON N., This Day. A siiiglo man named Mafk Gardiner, about 21 yeari of age, 6mpl6yecl as a fitter at itaiigahao, was killed last night. He was engaged working in the. neighbourhood of No; 3 dam wheit ho came in contact with.a .-live wire and fell. backwards! into the tlam below. Assistanco was quickly fdrthcomiiig, aiid the body Was recovered, biit restorative »iethddß ■were employed for flte hourt withdut avail. Gardiner died at 2 6'clock this warning. The deceased came from England last Septemper, and hid been engaged at the works for the past six months. He has a brother also'at Matigahao, ahd other members of the family aro resident in England. :
