PROPOSALS TO COUNCIL
As indicated in his reply to the deputation :of:' unemployed recently, the Mayor (Mr. ,6. A. Troup)has devoted a considerable • amount of attention to the •problem of unemployment as placed before him from time to time, and as the result of interviews yesterday afternoon, with the Ministers of Labour and' Public Works, he will bring proposals before the City Council at its meeting to-night, which' it is hoped will still further relieve the position.
