The • chairman ' read correspondence from the High Commissioner, setting out the specifications, and.stated that tenders . had" been received. from two firms, who were! the world's foremost bell founders. ; It was decided to postpone consideration of the tenders until the receipt of further advices from the High Commissioner j which he advised by cable had been posted by mail.: A hearty vote of thanks was passed to the High Commissioner and his staff for the excellent t work they have already done on behalf of the society..
Tho question was raised of the advisability of naming and inscribing the bells on the. lines of an article recently published in "The Post." ...A sub-com-mittee was appointed to go into the question and report. - ■-.*•■.
