In dealing with the question of a charity Saturday, Mr. Prendeville espresaed the opinion that this year the proceeds-should be devoted, wholly to charitable objects. Help for unemployment appealed to him very strongly and he, suggested, that 50 per cent., of the proceeds of Charity Saturday should go to the unemployed, the remainder to go to other charitablo purposes. .The suggestion was endorsed by the committee, and Saturday, tho 2nd July, ivas. : .set apart for tho purpose. It waa decided that, in view of tho objects, the charge for admission to matches on. that day bb one shilling.
