DAMAGE BY FIRE
At 6.46 p.m. yesterday the Central Fire Brigade received a call to an outbreak of fire in a shop occupied by Samuel Schneideman, costumier, at No. 30, Coiirtenay place, a brick three-stor-ied building, containing shops and offices. .A room*at the rear and its contents were damaged by fire and water, while the shop and its contents suffered slight damage by heat and smoke. The supposed cause of the fire was a lighted match thrown down. The contents of Schneideman Js shop, were insured, for £350 in the Insurance Office of Australia, and the building was covered by a policy for £13,000 in the Phoenix office. ';•--" • . . ' •"..
