DEVINE'S EMPIRE HALL, Palmerston North.
If it was not for the private enterpriso of Mr. William Devinc, Palmerston North would bo lacking in tho matter of hall accommodation. There is no building so suitable for balls, dances, lectures, or any class of gathering as Devine'a Empire-Hall, which is handy to the centre of the town, and in every way most suitable for travelling companies, special picture -entertainments, etc. It is interesting to note the splendid supper-room and sitting-out arrangements when required for balls. It is electrically lit throughout, and it is questionable if there is a more up-to-date hall in any part of the Dominion.
