AUSPICIOUS OPENING

PALMERSTON N.,. This Day. In spring-like weather, the twentyiifth Show of tho Manawatu and West Coast A. and P. Association opened today. The officials are naturally elated over their good fortune, as during tho past week the weather has been anything but promising. There has been a large influx of visitors,to Palnicrston, and the town is gaily decorated. When the Show, opened at noon to-day there was a steady stream" of visitors, who found much to interest them in the various exhibitions. The judging is proceeding this morning in the fruitj honey, vegetables, farm produce, home industries, and photography sections. R. Will (Rongotea), H. Montgomeric (Kauwhata), W. Nicholas (Hawera), and A. R. M'Kenzio (Apiti) shared the prizes in honey classes. "She Cheltenham School at Feilding carried all before it in tho schools' classes.
