PICKING THE TEAMS
NEW,ZEALAND SELECTORS.
From nominations received by the New Zealand Rugby Union's Management Qommittee for the positions o£ island New Zealand selectors a choice was made last night. Those apopinted will act for two seasons, the main business will be to select the team to visit South Africa next year. Nominations were received as follow:— North Island: Messrs. N. M'Kenzie (Hawkes Bay), W. A. Guy (Taranaki and Wanganui), G. Nicholson (Auckland), E. M'Kenzie (Wairarapa and Bush Districts), and A. J. Griffiths (Wellington). South Island:.Messrs. A. Adams (Nelson, Marlbbrough, arid West' Coast), R. Hanby IBuller), O. M Banner (Golden Bay-Motu-eka), J. Mitchell (Otagb), A. Geddes (Southland), and-T. Milliken, ■H. Davis, and P. Harvey (Canterbmy). -1
It was decided that three selectors be appointed in each island, and that they, make up a selection committee'of six to pick the New Zealand team. The following were appointed: North Island: Messrs. E, M'Kenzie (convener), N. M'Kenzie. and W. A. Guy. South Island: Messrs. A. Geddes (convener), T. Milliken, and A. Adams. ' . ' . > . .
Mr. E. M'Kenzie was appointed convener of the New Zealand Selection Committee. ■
