MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE
MEETS
The New Zealand Rugby Union's Management Committee met last evening,.Mr. o. S. Dean presiding.- Others present were: Messrs A. C. Kitto, W. P. Hornig, H. S. f" li. E. M'Kenzfti, T. A. Fletcher, K. Wylie, Kingi Tahiwi (representative of the Alaor; Advisory Boavd), C. L. Mullaney, ™A. K. Neilaon (secretary). ■I he following applicants for reinstatement were successful: J. Dolan (Dunedin), J. Watson (Dunedin), L. T. Becks (KaiaPra), CS. O'Brien (Auckland), J. C. .Shanks (Auckland), N. W. Shanks (Auckland), R. Dempsey (Auckland); N. Moros (Auckland), E. Prendegast (Auckland), and J. B. Kelly (Wellington). The Bush Districts Union wrote drawiug attention to the proposal made at the annual meeting of the N.Z.R.U. that a North-South match for representatives oE minor unions be played as a curtain-raiser to the main inter-island fixture. Information as to the committee's intentions was sought, and it was decided to reply to the Bush Union to the effect that a recommendation that the match be played next year would receive favourable consideration. . ■
The question of managers for teams engaged in the New Zealand, trijl matches was raised by Canterbury, who considered that a manager should travel with every team. It was decided to adhere to the previous decision. •
