FREE AMBULANCE

EXECUTIVE MEETING A meetinp; of the Wellington Free Ambulance Executive was held this week, Mr. C. J. B. Norwood presiding. There were also present representatives of local bodies und the Red Cross Society and the St. John Ambulance Association. The title of the new organisation is to be "New Zealand Free Ambulance, Wellington District." The temporary premisies are to be the Old Navals' Hall. Considerable discussion arose over the question of appointing a superintendent, and a sub-committee was appointed with power to act. The name of Mr. F. Roffe, secretary-superintendent of a similar institution. New South Wales, _ was mentioned as one to whom the position might be offered.
