KING'S THEATRE.
Mac Murray will be shown finally tonight in "Altars of Desire" at the King's Theatre. She plays the role of Claire Sutherland whose madcap ways catapult her into a charge of murder. Conway Tearle, who plays opposite the star, is seen as a young man who becomes enamoured of Claire against his better judgment. An exceptional supporting programme includes n gazette, scenic, and comedy, while delightful incidental music is rendered by the orchestra. "The Red Mill," a delightful musical comedy of ever-green popularity, has been adapted to the screen, and the chief role is taken by Marion Davies.. This picture is coming, to the King's .Theatre, commencing at to-morrow's matinee, at 2.30. It is a new Marion Davies that this play lias given to the screen—a lightsome, colourful creature of evanescent moods and charming little ways—with a whimsical sense of humour and an. amazing capability for poignant dramatic acting. The story is a romance of Holland—at times verging on the tragic, with a number of adventures. Owen Moore is in the cast.
