DE LUXE THEATRE.

"One Increasing Purpose" will be shown finally to-night at the Ue Luxe Theatre. It has for its background many of the historic places of London, while there is also a reproduction of the Kit Cat Club. The story tells of a young Englishman, who escapes from all the horrors of the Great War, only to find when he returns to his home that his set are indulging in an orgy of dissipation. Lila Lee, as the heroine, and Edmund Lowe, as the soldier, are splendid. The supports include a comedy and a gazette. Mr. Emanuel Aarons's items on the Wurlitzer organ are particularly well received. The orchestral items include the overture "Musical Switch" and a novelty entr'acte. "BLONDE OR BRUNETTE." Commencing at a special matinee to-morrow, at 2.30, then nightly at 8 o'clock, as well as at a matinee on Saturday at 2.30, Adolphe Menjou will be seen in his greatest success, "Blonde or Brunette," which is considered the fastest, most hilarious, and snappiest comedy of the year. Menjou indeed gives a wonderful performance of the man who could not decide between a blonde or brunette, indeed a difficult task when one finds these two parts are played by Greta Nissen and Arlette Marschal. Adolphe 'Menjou decided that a time had come when he could gracefully afford to settle down, get married, and live happily for ever after. But things did not work out as he expected. This hilarious comedy unfolds what Menjou goes through. The supporting programme will include request numbers to be played by Mr. Emanuel Aarons on the Vfurlitzer, whilst a special musical programme will also be rendered by the Orchestra de Luxe.: The box plans are at the Bristol Piano Co., Aitken's Book Arcade, or by telephone to the theatre.
