SLY GROG-SELLING

(By Telegraph.) (Special to "The Evening Post") AUCKLAND, lgt June. Peter Ulrich pleaded guilty thi« morning to two charges of selling liquor without a license. The polic* stated that TJlrich had conducted '» restaurant in Hobson street for the past seven years. Since Easter circumstances had pointed to a good deal pi slj grog-selling in the vicinity of Hob* son street. On 21st May and 27th May, beer was sold to a constable, and as a, result the premises were raided-last Friday night, when a quantity of liquor was seized. Since 13th April TJlri^ had received from wholesalers 31 down bottles of beer. He was fined £20 on each' charge, and the liquor was ordered to be for* feited and sold. :
