Mr. J. H. Salmon, S.M., presided at the Lower Hutt Magistrate's Court yesterday. It. Knipe, for failing to report an accident to the police, was fined £1. A. E. Dome, who smashed a plate-glass window, valued at £1, the property of J. 13. Ellis, was ordered to make good the damage. G. C. Godfrey was fined £1 for driving a ear without a license. P. Nepia was ordered to pay £5 10s arrears on a maintenance order, in default one month's imprisonment. Judgment by default was entered for the plaintiffs in the following undefended cases:—D. G. J. Dudley v. J. A. Dunne, £13 13s; Hutt River Board v. II A. Gough, £5 6s 9d; R. F. Robertson v. Tom Pohio, £2 10s; P. Meyrick v. W. P. Waitai, £8 4s Id; J..Preddy v. J. S. Beard, £17; Mason Bros, Ltd., v. A. A. Wallace, £4 5s 7d. Judgment summonses were decided in favour of the plaintiffs as follows:—Goodrich Silvertown Tires, Ltd., v. F. G. Millmau, £19 8s Id, to be paid at the rate of 30s per month, in default 19 days' imprisonment; G. S. J. Blackmore v. H. Bates, £10 4s, to be paid at £1 pei month, in default 10 days' imprisonment; Clendon Bros. v. J. Clegg, £18 Is 3d, to be paid at £1 per month, in default 18 days' imprisonment; A. W. Turner v. F. Ogier, £6 3s 6d, in default six days' imprisonment; A. E. Parkin v. W. James, £2 9s 3d, in default 4S hoars' jmafisgninejit.
