DISPLAY COMMENDED

(By Telegraph.)

(Special to "The Evening Post.")

DUNEDIN, This Day. The following telegram has been received from the Prime Minister: "I wish to congratulate the manufacturers and the shop-keepers of Dunedin upon the publicity effort that is being made on behalf of New Zealand manufactured goods. I have noted with satisfaction the extent to which support has been given to tho project by the retailers of Dunedin by placing their shop windows at the disposal of the manufacturers for the purpose of showing goods of entirely local manufacture. Such practical exhibits of New Zealand productions should prove of high educative valuo to many thousands of visitors who will be in your city on the occasion of the Winter Show and will demonstrate most effectively the progress that is being made in New Zealand industries and the good quality and great variety of goods manufactured. I hope that this patriotic effort will merit increased support from the general public and will lead to increased expenditure upon New Zealand made articles.

'I congratulate the Manufacturers' Association upon the initiative shown and the work performed in their successful shop displays, and hope that this example will be followed by similar displays in conjunction with the retailers in other parts of New Zealand."
