NEW HOSPITAL BLOCK

EQUIPMENT TENDERS ACCEPTED

A special meeting of the Wellington Hospital Board was held to-day to consider and accept tenders for laundry equipment, water softener, electric motors, and alterations to Mannoth mangle and two washing machines; also tenders for floor covering for the wards of the new hospital wing. Mr. C. M. Luke presided. •

The following tenders were accepted: Water-softening plant, J. J. Niven and Co., £374; refrigerator, Cory, Wright, and Salmon, £1354; sterilising pressure and linen washer, J. J.. Niven and Co., £615; washing machine, J. Chambers and Son, £303 10s; electric motors, Cory, Wright, and . Salmon, £330 13s 6df floor covering, Kirkcaldie and Stains, £3928; Eedpath and Sons, £1197. The acceptance of tenders for a tumbler dryer, and for alterations to the Mannoth mangle was held over.
