AGRICULTURAL COLLEGE

PALMERSTON N., 30th May.

The Agricultural College Council met here to-day and decided to establish the nucleus of three herds —Jersey, Ayrshires, and Friesian —on a property at Fitzherbert. Breed societies are invited to co-operate in Saying a good foundation. It is hoped ultimately to establish five breeds of pigs; in the meantime only two —large black and Berkshire—will be established. Mr. Hall (Matatoki) has given a purebred Jersey bull to the university.
