FIRES

Fire destroyed a six-roomed house and its contents at 26, Leraud street, Wellington South, at midnight last night. The dwelling was occupied by Mr. Frederiok Stanley Maloney, a dog specialist, and was owned by Mrs. Fraser. In addition to the furniture, Mr. Maloney lost a valuable equipment. This was insured in the Sun office for £500. A policy of £250 in the same office was held on the furniture, and the -house is also insured. Twenty-six dogs in kennels at the' back of the house were saved.
