NELSON, 30th May. The Nelson Cadets were not successful in regaining the Campbell Statuette, being beaten by the holders, Wanganui. The result will no doubt be an extra stimulus for the local lads to leave no itone unturned in next year's effort. Captain Thomas, who has been in charge of the Salvation Army in Nelson for nearly a year, hai been transferred to Wellington South. He and his wife have been popular workers in this district, and their departure will be regretted. The deaths are reported of two aged ladies, both in their 84th year. One is Mrß. Sarah Hall, relict of the late Mr. Thomas Hall, of Brightwater, and the other, Mrs. Louisa Lewae, of Spring Grove.
